Richard Daft’s Management 12th edition (PDF) offers various cutting-edge pedagogical features to assist college students in better grasping their management abilities and discover what it’s like to lead in today’s workplace. Each of the 19 chapters begins with an introductory questionnaire that piques the reader’s interest, relates directly to the chapter’s theme, and allows students to see how they react to events and obstacles that real-life managers confront.

Each chapter includes a New Manager Self-Test that gives students a better idea of how they would do in the actual management world. Students may get a quick overview of the essential facts and concepts discussed in each major chapter part with the “Remember This bullet-point summaries” at the end of each section. “Small Group Breakout” exercises allow students to apply concepts while developing collaborative skills. End-of-chapter questions have been carefully reworked to stimulate critical thinking and application of chapter concepts. Management students may enhance their diagnostic abilities for management problem solving with ethical problems, all-new end-of-chapter examples, and a fully updated set of “On the Job” video cases. The management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and regulating are grouped around the chapter sequence in Management 12e. Management research and the features of the manager’s job are adequately covered by these four functions.
