Dr. Benjamin Ayers (PhD, University of Texas at Austin, 1996) is the dean of the Terry College of Business and holds the Earl Davis Chair in Taxation at the University of Georgia. He earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin and has an MTA and BS from the University of Alabama. Previously, he was a tax manager at KPMG in Tampa and a contract manager at Complete Health, Inc. Ben has received 11 teaching awards, including the Richard B. Russell Undergraduate Teaching Award. His research focuses on taxation's impact on firm structure, mergers, and capital markets, and he has published in journals like The Accounting Review and Journal of Finance. He has won multiple awards, including the American Accounting Association's Competitive Manuscript Award and the American Taxation Association's Outstanding Manuscript Award.

Dr. Brian C. Spilker (PhD, University of Texas at Austin, 1993) is the Robert Call/Deloitte Professor in the School of Accountancy at Brigham Young University, specializing in taxation. He earned a BS (Summa Cum Laude) and an MAcc in tax from BYU and worked as a tax consultant at Arthur Young & Co. before completing his PhD. He has received the Price Waterhouse Fellowship in Tax Award and several teaching accolades for his innovative classroom technology use.
