Buss delves into human behavior through an evolutionary lens, equipping students with essential conceptual tools to explore evolutionary psychology and apply them to empirical research on the human psyche. The content is thoughtfully organized by topic, starting with fundamental survival challenges, mating, parenting, and kinship, and advancing to the complexities of group living, such as cooperation, aggression, sexual conflict, status, prestige, and social hierarchies.
