Convict criminology (CC) operates on the premise that the perspectives of convicts have often been overlooked or marginalized in academic discourses and policy discussions. Recognizing their insights can greatly influence the realms of corrections, criminology, criminal justice, and policymaking.
This marks the inaugural individual-authored ebook Introduction to Convict Criminology that thoroughly elucidates the CC framework applicable to education, research, mentorship, and activism within prison and criminal justice settings. It examines the background and research surrounding this intriguing area while addressing the difficulties the approach has faced. Key features include:
- key terms
- exhibit boxes
- assessment questions – including formats such as multiple choice, short answer, and essays.
