Jesse Dukeminier

Jesse Dukeminier (2003) was an American legal scholar and law professor at UCLA for 40 years. He authored many articles and textbooks in property law, wills, trusts, and estates, with his "Trusts and Estates" textbook being widely used. Born in West Point, Mississippi in 1925, he earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard in 1948 and a Juris Doctor from Yale in 1951. After a brief law practice on Wall Street, he taught at the University of Kentucky and the University of Minnesota, visiting Harvard and the University of Chicago before joining UCLA in 1963.

Robert H. Sitkoff

Robert H. Sitkoff is the John L. Gray Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, where he was the youngest tenured professor to receive a chair. He has taught at New York University and Northwestern University, winning three teaching awards. His research on trusts, estates, and fiduciary administration is published in top journals like the Yale Law Journal and the Stanford Law Review. Sitkoff co-authored Wills, Trusts, and Estates (Aspen 9th ed. 2013), a leading coursebook. His work has been featured in major media outlets, and in 2007, he was named an up-and-coming lawyer by Lawyer’s Weekly USA. Sitkoff actively participates in trusts and estates law reform, serving on the Uniform Law Commission and as Chair of the Drafting Committee for an Act on Divided Trusteeship. He is a member of the American Law Institute and serves as an Adviser for the Restatement of Charitable Nonprofits. Sitkoff also consults as an expert witness and leads workshops for fiduciaries. He edits the Wills, Trusts, and Estates journal in the Social Science Research Network and is a past chair of the Section on Trusts and Estates of the Association of American Law Schools. Before academia, he clerked for Chief Judge Richard A. Posner and graduated with High Honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was Managing Editor of the Law Review.
