In a storytelling approach that effectively intertwines contemporary examples with a rich historical context, By the People: Debating American Government, 7th Edition, delves into the significant themes and ideas that stimulate the intense debates found within American government and politics.

By the People Debating American Government 7/E presents students with essential and thought-provoking questions such as “Who governs?”, “How does our system of government work?”, “What does government do?”, and “Who are we?” By presenting these challenging questions, the text encourages students to actively engage with, critically think about, and thoughtfully debate the effectiveness and implications of U.S. government and politics. Furthermore, this seventh edition is presented in Oxford Insight, an innovative guided learning environment that not only provides performance analytics but also enhances student engagement and ultimately leads to improved academic outcomes.
