Dr. John O. Mitterer got a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from McMaster University. He has taught psychology at Brock University. John got the 2003 Brock University Distinguished Teaching Award, a 2003 Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA) Teaching Award, a 2004 3M Teaching Fellowship, the 2005 Canadian Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Contributions to Education and Training in Psychology, and the 2010 Brock University Don Ursino Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Large Classes.

Tanya S. Martini

Dr. Tanya Martini is a professor at Brock University, Ontario, where she teaches introductory psychology, research methods, and a capstone course on career-related skills. She has received the Brock University Distinguished Teaching Award and the Chancellor's Chair for Teaching Excellence. Her research focuses on skill-based learning outcomes in postsecondary education, recently investigating student perspectives on skill-based learning throughout their degree. Dr. Martini is interested in students' ability to articulate competencies underlying skills like critical thinking and collaboration and recognizing how university assignments foster transferable skills. She earned her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Toronto.
