David F. Stephan

David F. Stephan pioneered innovative methods for educating on computer applications, particularly in a business setting, and created progressive courses delving into the impact of emerging digital technologies. Additionally, he played a pivotal role as associate director in a U.S. Department of Education FIPSE project, which effectively integrated interactive media into humanities classroom instruction. Notably, Stephan is the mastermind behind PHStat, the esteemed statistics add-in for Microsoft Excel, which is distributed by Pearson Education.

David M. Levine

Dr. David Levine, Professor Emeritus of CIS and Statistics at Baruch College, CUNY is a nationally recognized innovator in statistics education for more than 30 years. Dr. Levine has co-authored more than 14 books, including several business statistics textbooks; professional titles and textbooks that explain and explore quality management and the Six Sigma approach; and, with David Stephan, a trade paperback that explains statistical concepts to a general audience. Dave has chaired or presented numerous sessions about business education at leading conferences conducted by the American Statistical Association and Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), and he and his coauthors have been active participants in the annual DSI Making Statistics More Effective in Schools and Business (MSMESB) mini-conference. During his many years teaching at Baruch College, David was recognized for his contributions to teaching and curriculum development with the College’s highest distinguished teaching honor. He got his BBA and MBA degrees from CCNY, and a PhD in industrial engineering and operations research from New York University.

Kathryn A. Szabat

Dr. Kathryn A. Szabat, an Associate Professor at La Salle University, has restructured multiple business majors into one major that focuses on data analysis and analytics. She is dedicated to enhancing the curriculum and teaching statistics effectively. Beyond teaching, she provides statistical advice to various communities and has contributed to publications and conference presentations through her research activities. Szabat is a member of several professional associations and holds a B.S. from SUNY-Albany, an M.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. from the same institution.
