Judge Elizabeth Allen White

Hon. Elizabeth Allen White (Ret.) served as a judge on the Los Angeles Superior Court until her retirement in July 2020. She was appointed to the Los Angeles Municipal Court in 1997 and elevated in 2000 following the court's unification. Judge White now works as an arbitrator and mediator with Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS). She graduated from UCLA and earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 1981. Prior to her judicial career, she was a civil trial attorney at Hart & Hart and Valensi Rose, LLP. Judge White presided over a Direct Set civil court at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse for sixteen years, managing general jurisdiction cases from filing through disposition. She taught Civil Discovery at Judges College and frequently lectures on judicial education. Judge White also served as an instructor for UCLA’s Paralegal Training Program, the same program she attended in 1977. She was Adjunct Faculty at Loyola Law School, where she taught Civil Discovery, and at USC’s Gould School of Law in their LLM Program. Additionally, she is a past president of the National Association of Women Judges, which is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. (2026)
