James M. Rubenstein

Dr. James M. Rubenstein earned his bachelor's degree in 1970 from the University of Chicago, his master's degree in 1971 from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and his doctorate in 1975 from Johns Hopkins University. He teaches urban and human geography as a professor of geography at Miami University.

Dr. Rubenstein has written three books about the automobile industry and undertakes more research in this area "Who Really Made Your Car?, Making and Selling Cars: Innovation and Change in the U.S. Auto Industry, and The Changing U.S. Auto Industry: A Geographical Analysis Geographical Change and Restructuring in the Automotive Industry" (W.E. Upjohn Institute, with Thomas Klier)." James is also the author of "Introduction to Contemporary Geography" and the best-selling "Contemporary Human Geography." textbooks.
