Dr. Janice A. Fischer is a distinguished Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, recognized for her excellence in teaching genetics and serving as the Director of the Biology Instructional Office. She earned her Ph.D. She earned her degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Harvard University and enhanced her expertise with postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Whitehead InstiDr. Fischer's research uses Drosophila to study the roles of ubiquitin and endocytosis in cell signaling during development.

Michael L. Goldberg

Dr. Michael Goldberg is a Cornell University professor teaching genetics. He graduated from Yale and earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Stanford. He conducted postdoctoral research in Switzerland and at Harvard, receiving an NIH fellowship for study at Imperial College and fellowships for work in Rome. His research focuses on Drosophila genetics and frog egg extracts to study cell cycle progression and chromosome segregation during mitosis and meiosis.
