Cynthia Prentice-Craver

Cynthia Prentice-Craver

Professor Cynthia Prentice-Craver has taught anatomy and physiology for over twenty-eight years at Chemeketa Community College. Her diverse teaching experience and passion for curriculum development drive her writing. With an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction and a B.S. in Exercise Science, she enhances her online and campus courses. Cynthia contributed to the Martin Laboratory Manual and Holes Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology and co-authored several editions. She's a member of HAPS and TAA and has served as a program chair, developed curriculum, and reviewed textbooks.

Designed for the one-semester anatomy and physiology course, ISE Hole’s Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology, 15th Edition (PDF) assumes no prior science knowledge and supports core topics with clinical applications, making difficult concepts relevant to students pursuing careers in the allied health field. The Learn, Practice, and Assess system is used for immediate application throughout the textbook and digital content. “Learning” outcomes begin the chapter and set the stage for what students will learn, “Practice” questions conclude each significant section and help students recall the information they’ve consumed, and “Assess” end-of-chapter resources allow students to confirm their accurate recall of what they learned and practiced. The learn, practice, and assess system effectively provides students with a solid understanding of the essential concepts in anatomy and physiology.
