Charles Welsh

Dr. Charles Welsh started teaching Anatomy & Physiology after earning a B.S. in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. He began graduate school in 1992 while teaching night classes and took a full-time position at Clarion University in 1996. He completed his Ph.D. in Comparative Anatomy, Evolutionary Biology, and Ornithology in 1997. With thirty years of experience, he contributes to the sixteenth edition of Hole’s Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology and has received multiple teaching awards at Duquesne University, including Mentor of the Year for training graduate students.

Cynthia Prentice-Craver

Cynthia Prentice-Craver

Professor Cynthia Prentice-Craver has taught anatomy and physiology for over twenty-eight years at Chemeketa Community College. Her diverse teaching experience and passion for curriculum development drive her writing. With an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction and a B.S. in Exercise Science, she enhances her online and campus courses. Cynthia contributed to the Martin Laboratory Manual and Holes Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology and co-authored several editions. She's a member of HAPS and TAA and has served as a program chair, developed curriculum, and reviewed textbooks.
