After getting his undergraduate degree, M.S., and Ph.D. in computer science at Virginia Tech, Lewis joined the faculty of the Department of Computing Sciences at Villanova University. Currently, he is a Virginia Tech He has received numerous teaching awards, including the University Award for Teaching Excellence and the Goff Award for Outstanding Teaching.
