It classifies the three functions managers must perform within their organisations – plan operations, control activities, and make decisions – and describes what accounting information is necessary for these functions, how to gather it, and how to interpret it. Garrison’s Managerial Accounting, 15th Edition, (PDF) is known for its accuracy, relevance and clarity. It is also exclusive in that the authors write the most important supplements that accompany the book: solutions manual, instructor’s manual, test bank and study guide making them both of high quality and extremely steady with the textbook.
