A History of Misunderstanding: Race and Ethnicity in the United States 8th edition

Race and Ethnicity in the United States 8e (PDF) explores the complex history of cultural differences in a nation comprised of immigrants. The textbook explores the historical patterns of our country’s treatment of people of different colors, faiths, and cultures by examining major themes of discrimination, injustice, multiculturalism, and diversity.

The Eighth Edition discusses recent 21st-century phenomena in immigration and diversity in the United States, including the rising number of Asian American and Latino youth and the continued discrimination of Native American populations. Providing a broad yet current assessment of our country’s multicultural and immigration patterns, the textbook serves as a comprehensive source for ethnic and racial studies.
