The eBook Research Methods for Education (PDF) covers the range of different qualitative and quantitative research methods specific to their use in educational research. This new textbook uses a problem-focused approach that fully integrates the decision tree—from selecting an appropriate statistic for analysis to choosing a research design.

With a student-friendly, conversational, writing style and examples from a wide variety of education-related fields, the authors show how statistics and methods work together and enable the testing of hypotheses through the use of the scientific method. College students will become informed consumers of research with the ability to understand any research article, judge its quality, and apply the methods in action research to inform educational practice.
