Drawing from the classic background theories like corporate sustainability, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility, these concepts are employed for the most up-to-date practices. Laasch and Conaway’s Responsible Business: The Textbook for Management Learning, Competence and Innovation (PDF) covers an international perspective, featuring cases from countries worldwide, has a solid theoretical basis, and thoroughly integrates sustainability, responsibility, and ethics. The ebook contains a wide variety of tools for change at the individual, company, and systemic levels. Published with the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a United Nations Global Compact backed initiative, this is a vital resource for business students at all levels and a self-study handbook for executives.

As sustainable development becomes a gradually important strategic issue for all organizations, there is an increasing need for management and executive education to adapt to this new reality. This ebook provides a theoretically sound and highly related introduction to socially and environmentally responsible business. The authors take a “competency-based approach” to responsible management education. The ebook aims to go beyond the traditional domains of teaching and towards the assistance of learning across key competencies. Every chapter in this ebook has a section devoted to exercises covering five core competencies – know, think, do, relate, be – to allow self-directed transformative learning.
