This best-selling comprehensive ebook Sociology in Our Times 11th Edition (PDF) conveys the relevance of sociology by presenting a timely collection of research, theories, and examples-including its signature first-person accounts that open many chapters. Chapters open with a “Sociology and Everyday Life” box that highlights such relevant topics as social media abuse and bullying, food trucks and the spread of culture, digital-age methods to increase school attendance, modern slavery, and weight bias. Experiences represented in these opening vignettes accurately mirror the richness and complexity of society, while also establishing the themes that are carried throughout the chapters.

Expert author Diana Kendall’s vivid and inviting writing style, emphasis on applications, and eye for the most compelling current examples highlight sociology’s relevance to all college students. Now Kendall’s SOCIOLOGY IN OUR TIMES 11E is acclaimed in the field for being the first textbook to integrate class, race, and gender issues, and for its thorough presentation of sociological theory, including contemporary perspectives such as feminism and postmodernism.
