Alan Eisner

Dr. Alan Eisner earned his Ph.D. from NYU's Stern School of Business and has a B.S. in operations research and industrial engineering and a M.Eng. in engineering management from Cornell University. He has published over 30 articles in journals like the International Journal of Electronic Commerce and Advances in Strategic Management. The 11th edition of “Strategic Management,” co-authored with Gregory Dess, Gerry McNamara, and Steve Sauerwald, will be published by McGraw-Hill in early 2023. His teaching interests include strategy, entrepreneurship, and organization theory.

Gerry McNamara is the McConnell Broad Professor of Management at Michigan State University. His research utilizes cognitive and behavioral theories to explore strategic decision-making, mergers, acquisitions, and environmental assessments. His work has been published in various journals, including the Academy of Management Journal and the Strategic Management Journal, and featured in publications like the Wall Street Journal and Harvard Business Review. Dr. Gregory G. Dess is the Andrew R. Cecil Endowed Chair in Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is on various editorial boards and was inducted into the Academy of Management Journal Hall of Fame in August 2000. He holds a PhD in business administration from the University of Washington and a BIE degree from Georgia Tech.
