Leslie E. Kendrick

Leslie Kendrick holds an Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computed Tomography from Boise State University, along with a certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. She earned national credentials from the ARRT in Radiography, Computed Tomography, and MRI. Kendrick completed a Master of Science in Educational Technology, focusing on transitioning Radiologic Science curriculum online. She is a Biomolecular Sciences PhD candidate researching post-concussive symptom resolution and blood biomarker detection. After eleven years as an MRI, CT, and Radiologic technologist, she began as adjunct faculty in 1998 and became full-time in 2001, specializing in medical imaging physics, human anatomy, and pathology. Kendrick served as Clinical Coordinator, Director of various bachelor programs, Department Chair for 12 years, and now Divisional Dean of the School of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences. She spent seven years on the ACERT executive board, reviews for the Radiography journal, and co-authored the Radiographic Positioning textbook series. Enhance your grasp of radiographic positioning and anatomy with the Workbook for Bontrager’s Textbook of Radiographic Positioning and Related Anatomy, 10th Edition. This supplementary workbook provides valuable learning experiences designed to help you absorb and apply the content and skills found in Lampignano and Kendrick’s primary text. Inside, you will find a diverse array of activities, including situational questions, lab tasks, self-assessment quizzes, and image critique exercises. The latter focuses on identifying potential positioning and technical flaws in poorly captured radiographs, prompting you to suggest necessary adjustments to enhance the image quality. This resource is ideal for gaining hands-on experience in creating and evaluating radiographs before entering a clinical environment.

  • Situational questions present real-life clinical scenarios that challenge students to think critically and apply positioning principles to particular cases.
  • Image critique questions focus on poorly positioned radiographs, asking participants what changes are needed to improve the images, thereby preparing them to assess radiograph quality in professional settings.
  • Self-tests at the end of chapters allow learners to evaluate their knowledge through multiple-choice, labeling, short answer, matching, and true/false questions. Answers can be found on the Evolve site.
  • Wide variety of exercises cover topics like anatomy, selected pathologies, positioning critiques, and image assessments.
  • Answers at the end of the workbook provide instant feedback.
  • NEW! Updated content aligns with textbook revisions to ensure a smooth learning and review process.
  • NEW! Critique images in workbook chapters to bolster image evaluation abilities and create a cohesive learning experience.
  • NEW and UPDATED! Emphasis on computed and digital radiography includes images reflecting the latest technology to equip students for credentialing exams and success in clinical settings.
  • UPDATED! Inclusion of current ARRT competencies and ASRT curriculum guidelines to prepare students for certification exams and clinical practice.
