Dr. Waldo E. Martin Jr. completed his undergraduate education by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University, and subsequently pursued advanced studies, culminating in the attainment of his PhD from the prestigious University of California, Berkeley. In terms of his professional trajectory, he presently holds the esteemed position of the Alexander F. and May T. Morrison Professor of American History and Citizenship at the same University of California, Berkeley, where he contributes significantly to the academic community. Additionally, he is recognized for his expertise and dedication to the field of history as he is a proud member of the Organization of American Historians.
