Deborah Gray White

Dr. Deborah Gray White, Board of Governors Distinguished Professor Emerita at Rutgers, holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an M.A. from Columbia University, and a B.A. from SUNY Binghamton. She specializes in African-American and US Women's History, focusing on identity and the intersection of race, class, gender, and sexuality. Regular courses include Development of the United States I, America Since 1945, and The History of Race and Sex in America.

Dr. Mia Bay is a prominent U.S. historian and the Roy F. and Jeannette P. Nichols Chair in American History at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on American and African-American cultural history. Her notable works include "The White Image in the Black Mind" and "To Tell the Truth Freely: The Life of Ida B. Wells." She earned her Ph.D. from Yale in 1993 and has taught at Penn since then, previously co-directing the Black Atlantic Seminar at Rutgers. In 2022, she won the Bancroft Prize for "Traveling Black: A Story of Race and Resistance."

Morrison Professor of American History and Citizenship at the same University of California, Berkeley, where he contributes significantly to the academic community.
