Prem S. Mann

Dr. Prem Singh Mann was born on November 20, 1947 in Punjab, India. He migrated to the United States in 1980. Professor Prem did his BS from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India in 1968. He did his Master of Arts in Economics from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India in 1970. He did another Master of Arts in Economics from the Manchester University, England in 1977. He earned his PhD in Philosophy in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles, 1988.

Prem Mann’s Introductory Statistics, 9th Edition is written for a one or two semester first course in applied statistics and is intended for college students who do not have a strong background in mathematics. The only prerequisite is knowledge of elementary algebra. Introductory Statistics 9e is known for its clarity and brevity of presentation, realistic examples and exercises, and soundness of pedagogical approach.
