Alan M. Saks

Dr. Alan Saks is a Professor of Organizational Behavior and HR Management in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto, Canada. He holds a cross-appointment to the Organizational Behaviour area at the Rotman School of Management and the Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources.

Professor Alan Michael Saks conducts research on organizational entry and the school-to-work transition such as recruitment, job search, and the socialization and on-boarding of new hires. Dr. Saks has also studied and written about the transfer of training, employee engagement, and workplace spirituality. His teaching includes courses in Research Methods in Industrial Relations and Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, Training and Development, and Human Resource Planning and Strategy.

Robert Haccoun

Dr. Robert R. Haccoun is a Psychology Professor at the Université de Montréal. Before academia in 1978, he was a research scientist at Bell Canada. A founding member and past president of the Industrial-Organizational Psychology section of the Canadian Psychological Association, he has led research on training and absenteeism, published in journals like Canadian Psychologist and Personnel Psychology, and authored a statistics textbook in its second edition (2010). He is a reviewer for scientific journals and has served on various research funding advisory boards. He has received awards for professional and teaching excellence and actively transfers knowledge to applied settings through articles and conferences.
