Exploring Microeconomics: formal theory and practical problems.

Perloff’s Microeconomics: Theory and Applications with Calculus, 5th Edition, (PDF) remains the premiere microeconomics textbook to marry formal theory with thoroughly analyzed and robust real-world problems. Intended as an intermediate microeconomics textbook, expert economist and author Jeff Perloff introduces economic theory through a combination of algebra, calculus, and easy-to-understand graphs. It then integrates estimated, real-life applications and problems, using an easy step-by-step approach to demonstrate how microeconomic theory can be applied to solve practical problems and policy issues in the real world. Compared with similar economics textbooks, the author Dr. Perloff emphasizes using contemporary theories to analyze markets, so college students are prepared to apply economic theory to the latest policy analysis in the field.
