Berrin Erdogan joined Portland State University in 2002, teaching Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management. Before academia, she was a corporate trainer in Istanbul. Her research focuses on leader-employee relationships and person-job fit, particularly overqualification. She has conducted studies across various sectors in multiple countries and published over 70 articles and contributed to several textbooks. Erdogan is a fellow of SIOP and APS, served as Associate Editor for European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, and was Editor-in-Chief of Personnel Psychology.
