Dr. Mark Saunders is Director of PhD programmes and Professor of Business Research Methods at the Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham, UK. Prior to this he was Professor of Business Research Methods at the University of Surrey where he was also Director of Doctoral Programmes for the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law.

His research interests are Research Methods, Human Resource Aspects of the Management of Change, Trust, and SME Success. These are reflected in his teaching and PhD supervision. Dr. Saunders also undertakes consultancy in private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.
