She is Cree/Salteaux and a member of the Star Blanket Cree Nation, located in Treaty 4 territory in Saskatchewan. Gina's research focuses on changing the Indigenous-state relationship. Her work has practical applications for the world around her, relying on an intersectional and community-driven approach to explore her research questions.
