Dr. Curt R. Bartol (aka Curtis) was a college professor for over 30 years, teaching courses like Biopsychology, Criminal Behavior, and Forensic Psychology. He earned his PhD in personality/social psychology from Northern Illinois University in 1972 and studied political science and law at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an NIH fellowship. He helped launch Castleton State College’s graduate program in forensic psychology and directed it for 6 years. As a licensed clinical psychologist, he has consulted for law enforcement agencies for over 30 years. He coauthored several books, including Criminal Behavior: A Psychosocial Approach and served as editor of SAGE’s Criminal Justice and Behavior for 17 years.
