Dr. Kara Sealock, a tenured Professor (Teaching) at the University of Calgary since 2009, has a Bachelor of Nursing ('00), Masters in Education ('12), and Doctorate in Education ('19) focused on adult education. She teaches students across years 1 to 4 in clinical and theoretical settings. Dr. Sealock is passionate about pathophysiology, pharmacology, and supporting students' transition to practitioners and success on the Next Generation NCLEX-RN. She has extensive clinical experience in critical care, medical-surgical, gerontology, and research. Dr. Sealock has presented locally and internationally and co-authored Lilley’s Pharmacology for Canadian Health Care Practice. Her research interests include adult learning, student success, clinical judgment, and innovative teaching methods.
